Tips For Moving With Families

Sailors transferring to Nimitz after Feb. 15 will only qualify for one move to the area. According to their orders, they are expected to move their families to Everett and commute to Bremerton or receive geo-bachelor status and stay on the ship.

If someone chooses to move their family to Bremerton and gets the pay for it, they will not get any further money or travel time off for a move to Everett when the ship transfers in February next year.

If they choose to leave their family in Bremerton, they will not qualify for geo-bachelor status and separation pay because they were recommended and expected to move their family to Everett.
